Afo Youth Mobility and the entire community in Agwada Development Area of Kokona Local Government of Nasarawa State have commended the former Vice Chairman/Chief Executive of the National Science and Engineering Infrastructure, (NASENI,) Professor Mohammed Sani Haruna for influencing the establishment of a skills acquisition centre in their Community.
The Chairman of Afo Youth Mobility, Barrister Dauda Kana gave the commendation during an interactive session with Professor Haruna on his 2027 gubernatorial aspiration.
Kana visited the gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, APC at his residence in Keffi alongside other officials of the group.
He also commended Professor Haruna for prioritizing Nasarawa State while in-charge of NASENI, leading to the establishment of the skill acquisition centre, Agricultural Machinery and Equipment Development Institute, AMEDI, Lafia and Solid Minerals Machinery and Equipment Development Institute, Nasarawa among others.
Dauda, a legal practitioner noted that while AYM remains apolitical, the group is engaging aspirants in the state to provide the Afo people with informed choices ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He stressed the importance of electing leaders based on their track records, noting that Professor Haruna has demonstrated competence through his employment initiatives and the numerous developmental strides attracted to Nasarawa State aimed at empowering the people and harnessing the state’s vast resources.
Responding, Professor Mohammed Sani Haruna thanked the AYM delegation for the visit reaffirming his commitment to the development, peace and stability of Nasarawa State.
I’m well aware of the challenges the state is facing and I have already mapped out strategic solutions to solve some of these challenges”, Prof Haruna reiterated.
