2027: Transform rural communities to demonstrate love for Nasarawa---- 2023 PDP guber candidate tells gov. Sule

The 2023 governorship Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in Nasarawa state, Hon. Emmanuel Davis Ombugadu, yesterday challenged the government in power in the state to demonstrate love, fairness and commitment in the transformation of the rural communities.

Ombugadu who spoke during an expanded stakeholders meeting of the party in Lafia, declared that true indigeneship must be demonstrated and measured by actions not slogans adding that all those laying claim to the state must prove their love for the state through fair, inclusive development, not empty rhetoric.

“It is not enough to claim you are from Nasarawa when your policies exclude large portions of the state,” Ombugadu said to thunderous applause.

The PDP guber aspirant who called for unity of purpose, hrown down the gauntlet ahead of the 2027 election told the cheering supporters that the party is wiser, more united, and fully prepared to defend its mandate in 2027.

“Nobody will cheat or stand on our way again. We’re ready for bumper to bumper, Naira to Naira. This time, money won’t be our problem!” Ombugadu declared.

He, emphasized that the PDP in Nasarawa is rising above the religious and tribal sentiments that have long affected the unity of the state, warning that saboteurs within the party would be identified and rooted out before the next elections.

“We now understand the game. No one will divide us again along ethnic or religious lines. the black sheep among us will be be gone by 2027 . we’re planning for victory,” Dr Ombugadu declared.

On his part, the state Chairman of the party. Adamu Bako Ningha clarified that Nasarawa PDP is not joining any coalition to form a new party.

Ningha who expressed gratitude to loyal members for resisting pressures to defect, added that efforts were ongoing to persuade defectors to return, stating further that the party respects their right to choose—even if they decide to stay away.

“That you came for this meeting shows your love for PDP. The defections may be loud, but the foundation of this house is strong. It will not fall. We are not merging into ADC. We stand strong on our merit,” he stated, assuring members that the party remains focused on rebuilding and reclaiming its mandate.

According to the PDP Chairman, efforts are ongoing to persuade defectors to return, the party respects their right to choose even if they decide to stay away.

In their good good will messages, key party leaders, including North Central Zonal Secretary, Francis Orogu, Zonal Woman Leader, political leaders of the party such as Hon. Architect Ja’afaru and ex-State Chairman Mr. Yunana Iliya, all echoed their speeches on one direction ahead of 2027 and the need for oneness, commitment, as we’ll as remaining resolute for the PDP regrouping and coming back stronger.
