Be ready for electoral battle – PDP tells other political parties

Ahead of 2023 general elections, Residents of Nasarawa have declared that it will not be business as usual for anyone, or groups of people under any religion, political affiliations or ethnic nationalities to toy with electoral processes in the state.
They have also reaffirmed their resolved to reclaim the 2023 stolen mandata willingly given to people’s Democratic Party during the 2023 eclections in Nasarawa state.
This was even as the traditional rulers were full of praises to the party for remembering to come back and appreciate the people even after becoming opposition party in the state.
Speaking during a thank you visits to three local governments of Akwanga, Kokona and Keffi, Citizens, residents, Stakeholders, party supporters were unanimous in their resolve to ensure that future elections were not manipulated in favour of any candidate.
“We are determined to ensure that our votes count in the 2027 general elections in Nasarawa state”.
” Those who think that Nasarawa belongs to them should have a rethink ahead of the 2027 electins, PDP remains for ADC and other political parties are corrupt politicians and old criminals looking for where to spend their looted money. They are more or less portfolio politicians without direction or focus.”
In Keffi, the Chairman, PDP Elders Forum’s, Suleiman Nasidi announced urged members of the party in the state to remain calm in the face of the defectio in the party adding that the state was going to witness a sunamic
Situation where those defecting to other political parties would all run back.
“I want to advice members of the opposition PDP in Nasarawa not to panick, political Sunami is on the way in Nasarawa state. Those leaving PDP for other parties will soon find their way back to PDP” the elder statesman declared.
Addressing stakeholders, Party supporters, former APC Chairman in Keffi LGA, Hon. Mohammed Maigoro, who led thousands of other defector during the thank-you tour to the area, said they were misled by the propaganda AOC brought to the state, staying that they have seen the obvious and are back to the real party with the people’s need at heart.
“We have realized out mistakes and are here today with our body, soul to work for the party in other to return the state to its rightful position with its sense of directions”.
” We can no longer follow a party that has lost direction. APC has not only betrayed us but also failed to address the pressing needs of the people. The PDP offers a better alternative, and that is why we are here today.”
Receiving the defectors at the PDP Secretariat in Keffi, the Party State Chairman, Hon. Adamu Bako Ninga, said receiving the huge number of APC led by the Chairman was a defining moment ahead of 2027 in the political history of the state.
“This exodus of APC members and other people from other parties to the PDP has defined the resolve of the people to denounce their membership of the ruling party that has failed the people,”
“As everyday passing by, Nigerians especially citizens of Nasarawa are waking up to the reality that only the PDP can restore good governance, accountability, and development.”
Ninga assured the new members of full inclusion and equal opportunities within the PDP, emphasizing that the umbrella is large enough to accommodate all who seek genuine democratic leadership.
Other party stakeholders and local leaders who spoke at the event hailed the defection as a game-changer, adding that the PDP is gaining unstoppable momentum ahead of future polls.
In his address, Hon. Mohammed Maigoro expressed deep disappointment with the APC, stating that his decision to leave the party was due to failed promises and a lack of internal democracy.
Defectors who were visibly excited and dressed in PDP regalia, marched through the streets of Keffi chanting: “PDP! Power to the People!” while pledging to work toward returning the party to power in the state.
