Azman Group Pulls Out of Nasarawa State, Cedes 14,000 Hectares of land acquired in Toto To SARO-Africa

Nasarawa State Government through an executive oversight hands-over the 14,000 hectares expanse of land acquired in Toto Local Government area by AZMAN Group to Saro Agro-Allied Limited to utilize.

The agreement signing of agreement between AZMAN Group Chairman, Alhaji Abdulmunaf Yunusa and Ujwalkanta Senapati, the Managing Director of Saro Agro-Allied Limited took place at the Conference Hall of Asokoro Nasarawa Governors Lodge December 3rd, 2024 in Abuja at the instance of governor Abdullahi Sule and the Managing Director Nasarawa Investment Development Agency’ (NASIDA), Barrister Ibrahim Abdullahi.

” Those people earlier displaced are moving back into the villages around the area this month. By the time they move in, you will have some level of security in the area. Because as long as there are some villages that have settled down, you won’t be having problems with some people who are coming out of nowhere to cause mayhem ” The Governor explained.

He expressed joy that the Chairman AZMAN Group Alhaji Abdulmunaf Yunusa has agreed to cede the area acquired to Saro Agro-Allied Limited described what AZMAN Group did as a huge sacrifice by allowing another company to carry on the implementation of their original intentions as a result of divestment of Investment plans.

“Alhaji Abdulmunaf Yunusa is making a wonderful sacrifice for us. And the most wonderful thing about it is that; Saro Agro-Allied Limited is willing to take the dreams AZMAN Group had to the next level. It is a big win-win for us in Nasarawa State. We are very happy. I know Saro Agro-Allied Limited has been interested not only in this site but in other locations which we are also going to partner them to make sure that happens ” He assured.

The Governor stressed that his role is to superintendent over the agreement by bringing the two parties together for the consummation of the entire process.

Earlier, the Managing Director Nasarawa State Investment Development Agency (NASIDA) Barr. Ibrahim Abdullahi said Governor Abdullahi A. Sule had been consistent in making sure each time investment initiatives are being announced; the necessary steps that are needed to bring them into fruition is being fully activated.

He explained that AZMAN Group who before now acquired 14,000 hectares expanse of land in Toto Local Government area has now offered their competing business initiatives to Saro Agro-Allied Limited to superimpose their own Investment plans as they have divested their initial intentions to other sectors.

” Your Excellency, has graciously invited Saro Agro-Allied Limited another very reputable company in Nigeria to come and consummate talks with AZMAN Group so that; the initial intentions of AZMAN Group would now be implemented by Saro Agro-Allied Limited which is a win-win for the state and both commercial entities. This is the purpose of the meeting” He explained.

In their separate remarks before the meeting went through a closet doors technical session, the Chairman AZMAN Group Alhaji Abdulmunaf Yunusa and Ujwalkanta Senapati the Managing Director of Saro Agro-Allied Limited both appreciated the Governor for providing an opportunity for the two companies to meet and conclude talks on the way forward.
