orders security to evict her from Senate chamber
By David Odama
A dramatic confrontation occured in the Senate earlier Thursday when Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, ordered the eviction of Senator Natasha Akpoti from the chamber.
The incident occurred after a disagreement regarding a seat change that escalated into a heated exchange.
TMSnews learnt that the controversy began when Senator Natasha was assigned a new seat at the start of the session, but she refused to accept the change. In response, Senate President Akpabio directed security personnel to remove her from the chamber, escalating tensions. While Senator Natasha attempted to defend her position by citing sections of the Senate handbook that affirmed her right to speak, her efforts were met with an abrupt directive from Akpabio to have her evicted.
