In October 1996, Nasarawa state was created with a developmental template and architectural framework, and only those that witnessed or have a copy of the plan know those who have made positive impacts, deserve applause, commendation and appreciation.
We, the good citizens of this state are indebted to the Federal Government of Nigeria during the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) era and her administrations in Nasarawa state for all the Federal Government infrastructure enjoyed in the State today.
Today being 24th February, 2022, President Muhammadu Buhari is in Nasarawa state to commission Federal Government projects which includes; 30/2×150MVA/2×60MVA Lafia transmission station Akurba, Central Bank of Nigeria, Lafia, and the Federal Secretariat located at Jos Road, Lafia.
Interestingly, the 30KV line that was awarded and constructed from Enugu State to Jos, Plateau state during the PDP led administration of Dr. Olusegun Obasanjo wasn’t stepped down to Lafia but only passed through. In 2004, the PDP government of (Dr.) Abdullahi Adamu in the State initiated an idea of having a transmission station of the 30KV Line in the state capital of Nasarawa. Consequently, Gov. Adamu appealed with the Federal government to please also stepdown the 30KV line in Lafia.
In 2012, His Excellency, President Goodluck Jonathan(Former) provided all logistics, materials and financial resources required to achieve this and directed the Managing Director of Niger Delta Power Holding Company in person of Engineer JAMES OLOTU to create a Transmission Station in lafia with land being provided.
Worthy of note is that the dividends of democracy we are enjoying today in Nasarawa state are as a result of the people oriented policies of the PDP led administrations of the past. PDP administrations made use of the template for the creation of the state by influencing federal government’s projects such as the current electricity power supply, Central Bank of Nigeria, and Federal Secretariat, Lafia branch etc.
Furthermore, meticulous usage of developmental plans of Nasarawa state by the PDP administrations has resulted in the commissioning of today’s projects in Nasarawa state.
These include the Alh. Aliyu Akwe’s banquet hall in government house, Nasarawa state skills and relevant technology acquisition centre, Nasarawa Transport Services popularly known as “On the Move”, Abuja liaison Nasarawa house/Hotel that was rented out for about a hundred million Naira annually, etc.
Unfortunately, the emergence of CPC/APC in Nasarawa state was an emergence of businessmen, proprietors and sugar merchants whose aim is to throw the state into debts, owe pensioners their pension and gratuities and in the process, accrue excess profits for themselves and associates. They have all but replaced the developmental plan of Nasarawa state with a business enterprise plan.
Again, Upon the change of the original site plan of Nasarawa state: our inherited properties were sold to themselves and cronies. Our Civil Service rules for promotion, elevation and appointments have been bastardized and replaced with nepotism to the extent where people now snap with appointment letters with politicians in our State after the government has shared employment slots. Our Prompt and Regular payment of hard earned salaries has be altered mercilessly and replaced with delays, irregular and percentage payments with high sense of favoritism.
Most unfortunate and regrettable, our natural free gift of farmlands that were endowed with fertility and mineral resources was also not spared as they privatized and shared people’s ancestral lands in the name of mineral explorations and sugar cane farming. The Government whose running ought to be a collective efforts is now a one man show.
Where are the industries that Gov. Sule promised Nasarawa state during his electioneering campaign?
We were not promised naming ceremonies during the campaigns but it looks to be the highlight of the administration so far.
Where are your initiates good works that President Buhari came to commission, Mr SULE ?
Nothing is working correctly in Nasarawa state!.
Permit me at this point to applaud People’s Democratic party-PDP for the provision of platform with a robust people’s mandates oriented policies and blueprints for Gov. Abdullahi Adamu and late Gov. Aliyu Akwe to dwell upon.
With humility and respect, I commend the Federal government of Nigeria particularly the Presidents Obasanjo to Goodluck led administrations for extending federal government dividends of democracy to Nasarawa citizens. We’re grateful.
At this juncture, I must appreciate the founding fathers of my country home Nigeria and Nasarawa state for their sacrifices of love, and may your labour never be in vain. Be rewarded accordingly by God Almighty, Amen.
President Muhammadu Buhari thank you for coming and seeing the deceitful governance of the so-called exceeding all expectations in Nasarawa state.

Fellow compatriots, while being profoundly thankful to Almighty God for His mercy, grace and sustenance upon our life. May God protect and provide us with a necessity of life and deliver us from all evils, Amen.
