The Executive Governor of Benue state, His Excellency, Rev. Fr. Dr Hyacinth Iormem Alia has approved the appointment of his Technical Adviser on Media, Publicity, and Strategic Communication, Hon. Chief Solomon Iorpev to oversee the activities of the Benue State Signage and Advertising Agency as Director General.
The Governor charged Hon. Iorpev to effectively deliver on the mandate of the Agency which includes the management and control of outdoor advertisements and signages across Benue State.
He charged the New DG to ensure that the visual tapestry of Benue is appealing and must uphold the highest standards of safety and aesthetics that will bequeath a responsible environment in the state.
Governor Alia congratulated Hon. Iorpev and encouraged him to see the new feather to his cap as a call to give more to his mother land.
Hon. Solomon Iorpev, among other qualifications, holds a masters degree in public relations and advertising.
Meanwhile, the new Director General of the Benue state Signage and Advertising Agency, Hon. Solomon Iorpev has warned against indiscriminate placement of billboards and other advertising platforms within and outside city centers across the state.
Hon. Iorpev, who said such improper placements, deface the city centers, called on the public to follow due process by obtaining permits from the urban development board before placing adverts. He encouraged those who are owing payments of Signages and Advertisements to proceed for payments ash enforcement will soon enter top gear.
