Contrary to the allegation by the former Delta North Senator, Barr. Peter Onyelukachukwu Nwaoboshi (SPON) that Senator Ned Munir Nwoko (SNMN) has a hand in his ordeals; his ugly romance with the EFCC and subsequent incarceration, one of the main actors and architects of his travail has come out to clear the air. Fejiro Oliver one of those who masterminded the petition that led SPON into the dragnet of the anti-graft agency, the EFCC, and his subsequent dungeon experience, has given a clear defense of Senator Ned Munir Nwoko’s innocence in the case.
In a post on his Facebook account dated 25th January 2025, Fejiro wrote *I know Ned NEVER did anything that took Nwaoboshi to jail despite the accusations against him* He further added *but he (Ned) will need to clear that himself not me*
In the first place, I do not think SNMN required the assistance of Fejiro Oliver to clear what every Anioma person knew was a false accusation; a libel suit against SPON for malicious damage looks like much more appropriate action to take.
Recalled that upon his release from prison following the ruling of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, SPON in a viral interview on Arise TV breakfast news accused SNMN and former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami (SAN) of orchestrating his imprisonment, a falsehood well rehearsed, garnished and propagated by SPON’s media.
The intention of SPON and his cohorts were clearly to tarnish the image of SNMN and bring his hard-earned reputation to public opprobrium, to present the *Anioma touch bearer* as a bad man, and to make some of his gullible fans hate Ned.
Majority of Anioma people who were conversant with political news and current affairs in Delta State from 2014 to 2017 knew that SNMN has nothing to do with SPON’s EFCC case and his imprisonment.
Now that one of the masterminds of the petitions that led to the arrest, prosecution, conviction, and incarceration of SPON by EFCC has come out to exonerate SNMN, I think this is the right time to refresh SPON’s mind on what led to his imprisonment in case he has forgotten. The intention of presenting what happened is also to educate and enlighten my fellow APC members and the good people of Delta North Senatorial District, who may have attempted to believe SPON’s spurious allegations.
*THE TRIALS OF SPON*
*The Fejiro connection*.
The man we know today as Fejiro Oliver is Tega Samson Oghenedoro; he was once a cameraman with NTA Asaba. He picked Fejiro Oliver as his penname and created the *SECRET REPORTERS* blog site.
In 2014, Fejiro Oliver was arrested by the DSS on the order of the Niger state governor for alleged blackmail and extortion. Before then Fejiro was one of the media aides of Great Ogboru. At that time there were no venomous and evil languages he did not use to demonize Okowa.
During the heat of the *Anioma Agenda* Okowa then a senator as one of the contenders for the Delta State governorship Seat, finds Fejiro a valuable tool to use against his rivals, he then despatched one of his aides to bail Fejiro out from the DSS custody in Mina, Niger State Capital, that was how Fejiro came under Okowa wings, the man he now calls *bad boy*
Trouble started for Nwaoboshi when as the then Delta PDP chairman, was alleged to have said in one of Late Sir Tony Obuh’s rallies that *Obuh was the face of a new Delta State* that was after he had received the Guinea House gift from Uduaghan, who was pretending to be supporting Tony Obuh for Governor of Delta. SPON did not know that by making such a statement, he had invariably placed his finger in the anus of the Owa tortoise, who responded immediately by unleashing his dog (Fejiro) on SPON
.
Government confidential files were flying everywhere, *suddenly petitions were coming from former councilors who claimed Nwaoboshi defrauded them*, *Other petitions came from some Local Government Councils alleging that Nwaoboshi sold tokunbo tractors and other scrab machinery to Councils across the state instead of the brand new ones they paid or whose payment has already been deducted at source by the state government* and finally the *Guinea House issue came, where it was alleged that Nwaoboshi received it as a gift from Uduaghan to support the Obuh ‘project’*
A series of petitions were written against Nwaoboshi for the Guinea House gift, against Uduaghan for confiscating govt land where he built the *Mastercare School* and against the former SSG Ovuzorie Macaulay for the gift of the *Amuwo Odofin Warehouse* for the same Uduaghan project.
The petitions were followed by a series of protests at the Government House, the DSS office, and other strategic areas in Asaba; the protest happened in April 2017, when Okowa had already assumed office as Governor of Delta State.
All these Nwaoboshi problems occurred between 2014 and 2017, and at this time, Ned was going after the Paris Refund and using his time, finance, and energy to build a coalition for a power shift to Delta North. He was not contesting any position with Nwaoboshi or any other person. I have a good knowledge of what was happening because I was the head of Obuh’s social media campaigns.
Ned contested the 2019 Delta North Senatorial primary under PDP with Nwaoboshi, where Nwaoboshi won through Okowa’s manipulations, and immediately after he was elected, he dumped Okowa.
EFCC has made it very clear that they do not arrest anybody unless there is a strong petition against the person from the public
My question to Nwaoboshi and his media Teams are;
1. Have you a copy of the petition written by Ned to EFCC against SPON?
.
2. Was Ned responsible for divulging Delta State Government classified information to Fejiro? Where some of the confidential deals between Uduaghan Nwaoboshi were recorded.
3. Was Ned responsible for Nwaoboshi dumping the PDP as soon as he was reelected back to the Senate?
Nwaoboshi should understand that politics is not a disability game; he should thank his stars for cleverly using the chaotic situation surrounding the Anioma Agenda to steal his way to the Senate. Otherwise, somebody with such huge baggage should not have smelled the Red Chamber.
His media team has been sneezing around since SNMN joined the progressive to move Aniomaland out of modern-day slavery. They should advise SPON to go and beg Ned for forgiveness so that both can join hands to free Anioma land from authoritarian rule. How do you call yourself a political leader when your followers cannot grow? When someone far away is deciding who becomes the councilor of your ward and Chairman of your LGA?
Senator Ned Munir Nwoko has no hand in the incarceration of Nwaoboshi. Nwaoboshi should apologize to the most distinguished senator, Ned Munir Nwoko, for labeling false allegations against him.
Nwaoboshi acted like the proverbial snake that left a Cutlass that severed its head and started to go after any object around.
Nwaoboshi should know where he carries his load to know where to drop it, it should not be dropped at Ned’s backyard.
