Nigerian journalist who was criticized for her pro government stance, Kadaria Ahmed, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to proceed on sick leave and allow Vice President Yemi Osinbajo take charge of the country.
Ahmed made the call on Arise TV on Wednesday, few days after she joined the government in condemning the Daily Trust and the BBC Africa Eye documentary on the lawlessness in Zamfara state.
Kadaria however explained that her concerns over the documentary was not intended to excuse the government frm its numerous failures especially, her responsibility of safeguarding the lives and property.
The famous TV broadcaster who was severely kicked by citizens including her union, the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, for siding the authority aganst professionalism, has turned back.
She told AriseTV that “I think Nigerians ought to tell their politicians that it is time to have a bipartisan approach to insecurity, because it is something that is going to consume us.
“Even now as it is consuming us, we are not asking who is PDP or who is APC. And this continuous politicisation of insecurity, for me, portends a serious danger to Nigeria.
