Father of Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has passed away at the age of 83.
According to a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Communications, in Lokoja on Monday, the deceased died today Monday evening, August 18, 2025.
The statement added that his Janazah and burial will be held today in accordance with Islamic rites.
The Kogi State Government has prayed for the repose of his soul and asked Allah to grant the Governor and his family the strength to bear the loss.
“We pray to Allah (SWT) to forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds, and grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus,” the statement read.
