Ministerial position: Kano APC leaders rally for QAT Foundation boss, Tejuosho

Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) representing Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) in Kano State have officially endorsed the CEO of QAT Foundation, Dr. Halimat Adenike Tejuosho as their candidate for the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.

The endorsement, according to a statement issued on Wednesday in Kaduna and made available to our correspondent, was announced on Wednesday during a gathering at the APC state office in Kano.

APC Disability Leader in Kano State, Alhaji Adamu Gidado Gwangwazo, in the statement commended Dr. Tejuosho’s unwavering commitment to social justice, stating, “her experience and passion uniquely qualify her to tackle the pressing needs of our communities.”

The endorsement received support from a diverse group of leaders, including Sa’adu Ibrahim, APC Kano Central Disability Leader and Liaison Officer to the FCT Minister; Engr. Musa Shaga, Chairman of JONAPWD Kano State; and representatives from various disability associations.

Each leader underscored the significant progress that Dr. Tejuosho has made through her initiatives at the QAT Foundation, which have focused on poverty alleviation and enhancing inclusivity for PLWDs.

The press statement, co-signed by key figures such as Yahya A. Yahya, chairman of the Cripple Association, and Aminu Aminu, former special advisor to the former governor of Kano State, called on party leadership to consider Dr. Tejuosho’s nomination seriously.

In a unified voice, the leaders expressed their belief that her appointment could lead to transformative policies and programs that will directly benefit vulnerable populations throughout Nigeria.

This endorsement according to them represents a collective aspiration among PLWDs in Kano State for a more equitable society, with Dr. Tejuosho seen as a catalyst for much-needed change.

Tejuosho, also the CEO of the QAT Foundation, is celebrated for her dedicated advocacy and impactful initiatives aimed at empowering marginalized communities.

Her extensive background in humanitarian efforts and her deep commitment to addressing the challenges faced by PLWDs make her a formidable candidate for this crucial position.
