Nasarawa APC condemns attacks on women Affair minister, others, passes vote of confidence on her

The All Progressive Congress (APC) in Nasarawa state Thursday condemned what it described as malicious attacks on the minister of women Affairs and Social Development, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim and other prominent citizens of the state.

The party in a statement by the chairman, Dr Aliyu Bello and made available to Journalists in Mafia by the part state publicity secretary, Chief Douglas Otaru, decried the pull down syndrombeinv pepertuated by one Abdulkarim Alanana.

According to the statement, “Our attention has been drawn to a widely circulated video by one Abdulkarim Alanana Mai’yau, popularly known as Oscar Keana, an unregistered and inconsequential member of our party; calling for the removal of the Honourable Minister.

” His reckless utterances are not only false but a clear demonstration of desperation, frustration, and a craving for cheap popularity. Only a person of questionable character will see good works and, instead of celebrating them, seek to tear them down for selfish gains”, the statement added. .

The party maintained that it is on record that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during his official visit to the state publicly passed a vote of confidence on the minister of women Affairs and social Development, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim describing her as a performer and a true Daughter of Nasarawa state.

“It is on record that His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, during his State Visit to Nasarawa, publicly passed a vote of confidence in Honourable Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, describing her as a performer and a true representative of Nasarawa State in his cabinet”.

“In the same vein, His Excellency, Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, has consistently identified with her initiatives, commending her efforts in spotlighting the ingenuity and excellence of the people of Nasarawa.

” The APC in Nasarawa State will not allow faceless detractors and political jobbers to malign her integrity or distract her from the enormous task of nation-building. We urge the public to disregard these baseless attacks and remain confident in her proven record of service and integrity.

“Furthermore, we strongly warn individuals engaging in cyberbullying and character assassination of public officials to desist immediately. Nigeria’s cybersecurity and criminal laws are clear, and the APC in Nasarawa State will not hesitate to deploy every legal instrument to protect the dignity of our leaders and the integrity of our party.

“The APC, Nasarawa State, proudly reaffirms its solidarity with Honourable Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, fsi, commends her tireless efforts, and calls on all Nigerians to celebrate her achievements, support her initiatives, and rally behind her vision for women, families, and vulnerable groups across our nation.

” For her determination and commitment, it was to the Honourable Minister’s credit that Mr. President, on the wings of his visit, flagged off the Renewed Hope Social Impact Intervention Programmes championed by her office. At that historic event, women of Nasarawa State origin benefitted directly from the Women’s Advancement through Value Empowerment (WAVE) Programme, each receiving ₦1,000,000 to support enterprise and uplift livelihoods, among other large-scale interventions”, the statement declarsd. .

“These achievements are not hearsay; they are matters of public record, with extensive video coverage and newspaper articles available for verification”, the statement contended.

“Honourable Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim has not only distinguished herself nationally but has also taken the voice of Nigeria on to the international stage. On global platforms, she has spoken purpose to action, galvanized Nigerian women in the Diaspora, and projected Nasarawa State as one of the seven leading CEDAW States in Nigeria.
