donates N1m for completion of NYSC lodge, Agwada

Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, has urged Afo nation and other citizens of the State to embrace unity and peace as well as forgiveness at all times irrespective of their affiliations.
This, he said will enhance speedy development and give room for a peaceful society for all.
The Speaker made the call during Igbada-Odudu Kya Annual Cultural Day 2025 held in Agwada, Kokona LGA today Saturday.
Speaker Jatau said that peace is the necessary requirement for the development of the area and the State at large.
He lamented on how misunderstanding in Apawu community of the area among other Afo communities claimed lives recently said the situation is on called for.
“I want to appreciate this association for organizing the cultural day and for promoting peace and unity among Afo and other people .
“My appeal to you is that let’s continue to live in peace with one another and let’s also have forgiving spirits at all times.
“Let’s creat room in our hearts to forgive one another as it was unfortunate that misunderstanding in Apawu community led to the death of two people recently” he said.
Jatau appreciated Afo nation and other people of his constituency for supporting him to become member of the House.
“It is your support and the support of other people that today God has made it possible for me to be the Speaker of the House. I appreciate you all” he said.
The Speaker called on Afo and other people of the State to continue to give their maximum support to Gov. Abdullahi Sule and other leaders to succeed.
“His Excellency, Gov. Abdullahi Sule has passion for development and he also has passion for peace.
“Let’s continue to support Gov Abdullahi Sule to succeed and to enable us enjoy more dividends of democracy” he said.
He commended Sen. Abdullahi Adamu for establishing Phoenix University Agwada, saying that it would bring speedy development to the area.
“With this University and when we live in peace, unity and tolerate one another, Agwada will be a Mini London not just in Kokona LGA but the State at large” he said.
The Speaker assured of hish continued commitment to provide the much needed dividends of democracy to the people of his constituency and the State at large.
Besides, the Speaker donated N1million for the completion of NYSC Lodge in Agwada Development Area.
Also speaking, Hon. Adamu Agye, Former Overseer, Agwada Development Area appreciated the Speaker for always supporting them to succeed.
He assured the Speaker of their prayers and support at all times to succeed.
It would be reported that the Speaker has earlier paid a traditional homage on Osu Agwada, HRH, Alh. Abubakar Sadiq Obagu to for his royal blessings.
Jatau assured the Royal Father and the people of his constituency of better days ahead.
On his part, the first class traditional ruler, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Obagu blessed the Speaker and prayed God to protect and bless him abundantly.
