The Board Chairman of North Central Development Commission, Barr Cosmos Akighir, has expressed immense sadness over the demise of elder statesman, Chief Audu Ogbeh.
Ogbe who served and contributed to Nigeria’s development in various ways, was laid to rest at his country home in Efugo, Otukpa, Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue State.
Akighir said Nigeria has lost a great personality who has left indelible mark in nation building.
The board chairman in a statement extended his heartfelt condolences to the Ogbeh family and friends, saying NCDC would have benefited greatly from his guidance as it strives to impact lives in the region.
He acknowledged late Ogbeh’s unparalleled contributions to Agricultural world, and other endeavours, adding that his pursuit of sustainable economic growth in the public service, and food security in Nigeria, was unparallel.
The NCDC board Chairman noted that the distinguished politician and agriculturist had continued to share his wealth of experience and knowledge even when out of government, urging Nigerians to emulate his unique virtues.
“His impact will resonate through generations, and I pray that God grants his soul eternal rest,” Barr Akighir said.
