The new crowned Tor Jechira HRH. Chief Engr Edward Ujege has sues for their continued prayers and supports to enable him succeed for the greater good of all Jechira and Tiv Nation at large.
The Tor Jechira made the appeal when he received members of the G7 – GYAIKOR Seven Support Initiative, an assembly of Gaav Corps d’elite in his Makudi residence.
He thanked them for the visit and for identifying with him as their member promising to remain committed for the interest of Jechira and Tiv nation in general.
Leader of the group, Prof Gabriel Akume while delivering congratulatory message on behalf of the group said, they were grateful and overwhelmed with the emergence of Chief Edward Ujege as Tor Jechira II.
Akume said as one of them, they felt so honoured to have him as Chairman of Jechira Traditional Council.
He prayed God to grant him more grace, wisdom and courage as he presides over the people of Jechira.
The group noted that considering his pedigree, antecedents and track records of achievement and wealth of experience in Chieftaincy affair, they are confident that he will take the people to greater heights.
Highlights of the visit was the presentation of congratulatory letter amongst others.
In a similar development, Jechira Women Development Association national Secretariat led by Lady Priscilla Abado also paid homage to the new Tor Jechira who they described as their father, husband and great son of the land and promised to give him the support from the women’s wing .
Lady Abado was accompanied on the visit by Mrs Rose Ashiekaa, Mrs Eunice Ahile, Mrs Jecinta Balabo, Mrs Margaret Ager, Mrs Gladys Shaahu and Mrs Esther Akume.
Receiving them also, the Mother of Jechira Nation, Her Royal Highness, Chief Mrs Theresa Ujege said she was overwhelmed with joy and happiness to welcome her women group and thanked them for identifying with the Royal family.
Mrs Ujege also sued for prayers and support from the Jechira Women, Youths and elders to enable them succeed.
The visit was marked by the presentation of gift items, and prayers for the successful reign of the new Monarch.
