The Opposition People’s Democratic party PDP in Nasarawa state has cleared the air on its reconciliation mechanisms in place to resolve pockets of disagreements among its members
Reacting to a comment credited to a one time minister of state for Justice, Musa Elayo, state Chairman of the party, Alhaji Bako Ninga said the party was taken aback when a personality of Elayo who turned down an offer extended to him to reconcile aggrieved members would refuse to acknowledge the endorsements from stakeholders on the reconciliation proceeds in the party.
“Our attention has been drawn to the comments credited to a former Minister of State for Justice, Barr Musa Elayo.
It’s unfortunate that the former Minister who turned down an offer to reconcile would declined to acknowledge even the overwhelming endorsement pouring in from various stakeholders on the ongoing reconciliation process in our great party in Nasarawa state.
“As we speak, all the three zones have set up a powerful delegation drawn from accomplished technocrats, retired military general, season party administrators to meet aggrieved members of the Party in the state.
“For Musa Elayo who was given an opportunity as the co Chair of Nasarawa PDP post congress committee to resort to castigating the new State Working Committee clearly shows that he is not an elder statesman” the Party Chairman declared.
According to the party.the party is now well informed why it lost elections in his ward in both presidential and Gubernatorial.
“No wonder, we lost at his polling uint and ward in both the presidential and gubernatorial elections. We are focused and on track”, Ninga stated.
He however appealed to all member and supporters of the party to disregard the comment, remain committed, focused and work as a team for the overall interest of the party and the state ahead 2027.
It would be recalled that the former minister had allegedly described the party Chairman as being arrogance and lack of strategic idea to coordinate the party into victory in the part of the so-called working committee which he claimed was really costing the party.
According to Musa Elayo, ‘Well, let them continue, only time shall tell’.
