Almajiris

The People’s Democratic Party, PDP has raised alarm over the huge influx of out of school children in Sabon Gida, Kokona LGA and Mararaban Gurku and Shaka both in Karu LGA of Nasarawa state.

The party noted that the large number of children who are supposed to be in schools walking the streets begging for alms, should be a concern for the state government.

In a press statement issued in Lafia by the Press Secretary of the PDP in the state, Jonathan Ipaa, the party called for urgent intervention by the security agencies to at least, ascertain where and who were behind their importation and possibly why?

“We are worried and expected the government of Engr Abdullahi Sule to be worried over this situation.
“Our most concern hinges on the latest Out of School Index recently released by the UK base Cable news agency where Nasarawa top 13th on the out of school index table.
