RE: STRAIGHTENING THE RECORDS: THOSE PEOPLE ARE UNKNOWN TO US AS A PARTY- PLATEAU PDP

The Plateau State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), today issued a formal response to the what it termed “erroneous claims made by a strange and faceless group” that called themselves as “the coalition of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) support groups in Plateau State”; where its coordinator one Hon. Christopher Danjem, converged with some of his friends associates and unknown persons at the State Secretariat Junction in Jos, for a mischievous press conference.

Hon. Choji FD, whi is the State Publicity Secretary of the PDP said that “by this medium, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Plateau State Chapter, being the masses political platform wants to categorically make it clear that it is committed to providing the public with the necessary information concerning its operations and the press release by Danjem and his group unfortunately misrepresents and misleads the general public herein.”

The statement said it should be known to the general public that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Plateau State Chapter, does not recognise in any way and as well does not have in its data base the said group details as one of its formidable registered support platform or affiliated support group in the entire state as erroneously claimed and presented by Danjem.”

Also, he said “the move by the group does not in any way reflect or support the true position or interest of the party as it stands and therefore, urge all and sundry to disregard such claims and carefully engage the party in fact-based findings, rather than relying on a mere fabricated and deceitful outing.”

Similarly, he stated that “for the records, the said statement by Dajem and or any activities coordinated by Mr. Christopher Danjem are solely those of his selected friends and associates and such do not necessarily in any way reflect the true, official views, or endorsements of the People’s Democratic Party Plateau State Chapter.

He restated that the PDP in Plateau State remains resolute and focused on its mandate and commitment to its party ideology, centred on democracy, national cohesion, social justce, good governance among others and will continue to provide transparent and factual information to the general public whenever the need arises.
