The Nasarawa state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Isaac Danladi, is to personally lead a team of six lawyers from the state Ministry of Justice to defense the state government, Speaker of the State House of Assembly in a suit filed by the dismissed Chairman of the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), Abubakar Muhammad Gada.

Recalled that Abubakar Muhammad Gada, was recently sacked by the state government over bribery and corruption allegations where he was found guilty and recommended by a panel set up by the state government.

Recalled also that the former TSC boss had allegedly collected various sums of money from the applicants to influence their recruitment and secure appointment for the suspected job seekers.

He was initially suspended and later relieved of his appointment by the state government alongside other members of the commission.

Recalled also that Abubakar Muhammad Gada has approached the court challenging his removal from office.

Speaking with Journalists in Lafia on Friday, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Danladi disclosed that he had signed and filed a memorandum of conditional appearance on behalf of the government and would stand firm in court to defend the decision of the government.

“I will lead a team of six lawyers from the Ministry of Justice to challenge the case instituted by the former chairman of the TSC against the government and other persons,” AG declared.

The AG, maintained that the move was necessary to safeguard the integrity of the recruitment process and restore public confidence in the education sector.

The case, which has continued to attract public interest, is expected to test the state’s legal position on the powers of government to suspend or relieve appointees accused of misconduct.

Analysts believe that the outcome of the case could set a precedent for governance, accountability, and the fight against corruption in Nasarawa State’s public institutions.

Court proceedings are expected to commence soon, with the Attorney General leading the state’s legal team in what observers described as a high-profile test of law and governance
