- Urges prayers for peace in the country

As Nigerians join the rest of the Muslimall over the World to mark the end of this year’s Ramadan, Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state has stressed the need for greater vigilance and a safe neighbourhood as well as general security, peace and harmony.
Governor Sule in a Sallah message personally signed and made available to Journalists in Lafia, called on the Muslim Ummah in Nasarawa State to remain “steadfast in applying the virtues of Ramadan through consistent supplication, perseverance, humility, hospitality, good neighbourliness and indeed the spirit of sharing in our daily activities.
“I call on all Muslims to be steadfast in applying the virtues of Ramadan through consistent supplication, perseverance, humility, hospitality, good neighbourliness and indeed, the spirit of sharing in our daily activities. It behoves us all, as good citizens of Nasarawa State, to continue to pray for the peace, security and economic prosperity of the State.
“As we celebrate this Sallah, I urge us all to re-affirm our obedience to Allah’s injunctions as contained in the noble Qur’an and follow the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam). It is also an obligation on us to pray for our leaders at all levels to govern with the fear of God and the virtues of justice, humility and service for the good of humanity. The season also calls for greater vigilance to ensure a safe neighbourhood, as well as general security, peace and harmony.
” I wish to take the liberty of this occasion to appeal to Nigerians to continue to pray for our leader, His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, as he remains resolute in his avowal to turn around the fortunes of our country through various economic policies.
“We are fully aware of the hardship occasioned by some of the initiatives, but be rest assured that they are temporary and in no distant time, Nigeria will begin to enjoy the dividends of these policies.
” I need to also use this opportunity to call on motorists and other road users to cautious and obey traffic regulations. I urge the Federal Road Safety Corps and other security agencies to continue to be vigilant during this festive period and also intensify efforts at controlling traffic to safeguard lives and property of the citizens.
He also used the occasion to call for prayer for peace, security, and economic prosperity of Nasarawa State, saying: It is an obligation on us to pray for our leaders at all levels to govern with fear of God and the virtues of justice,humility and service for the good of humanity.
He equally call on Nigerians to pray for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he remains committed to repositioning and turning Nigeria through various economic policies, assuring that the government is aware of the hardship Nigerians are going through.
Governor Sule, in the statement, also used the occasion to appeal to motorists, where he said: “I need to also use the opportunity to call on motorists and other road users to be cautious and obey traffic regulations.”
The governor also appeals to the Federal Road Safety Corps and other security agencies to continue to be vigilant during the festive period and as well intensify efforts at controlling traffic to safeguard the lives and property of Nigerians
