“When a jurist becomes a King, the scales of justice become the foundation of the palace.”
In the wake of his landmark 7th Anniversary on the throne of his ancestors, the ancient city of Lafia continues to reflect on a historic convergence of modern law and traditional authority.
Seven years ago, as His Royal Highness, Justice Sidi Bage Mohammad I (JSC Rtd, CFR), ascended the throne as the 17th Emir of Lafia Bare-Bari, he brought with him more than just a crown; he brought a lifetime of equity, a temperament of peace, and the refined wisdom of the Supreme Court.
As the echoes of the anniversary celebrations resonate across the Emirate, we recognize a monarch who has successfully bridged the gap between the robe and the turban.
In these seven years, the Bare-Bari people have seen a Custodian of Peace whose interventions in communal harmony and national stability have been as precise as his legal judgments. His reign has been defined
“Justice for All,” reflecting a profound belief that the true strength of a throne lies not in its height, but in its fairness.
Having sat at the pinnacle of Nigeria’s judiciary, HRH Sidi Bage understands that leadership is a sacred trust.
His tenure has been a beacon of stability, ensuring that the Lafia Emirate remains a sanctuary of cultural pride and administrative excellence.
Beyond the regal ceremonies, his seven years have been marked by a quiet but firm advocacy for education, the rule of law, and the preservation of the dignity of the Bare-Bari heritage.
As we celebrate this milestone, the people of Nasarawa State and indeed the entire nation salute a Statesman-King.
We pray that the Almighty continues to grant his Royal Highness the health of a youth and the wisdom of the ancients as he leads his people toward a future of greater prosperity and peace.
Allah ya taimaki Zaki!
Allah ya ja zamanin Zaki!
Zaki! Zaki!! Zaki!!!
