We’re partners in progress, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim tells Nigerian women

The women Affairs minister Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim has urged women to identify their priority, remain focus and committed to the cause of womenfolk.

The minister has also assured that the minister would continue to partner women reiterating that public office holders in Nigeria are partners in progress with all for the good of Nigerians.

Speaking when she received a delegation of women leaders from across Nasarawa State led by Hon. Sa’adatu Yohya, the patron of Female Councillors Association, Haj. Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, said the visit would not only serve as motivation for her to do more for her constituents in Nasarawa State and Nigerians generally.

“First of all, let me thank God for making it possible for me to be so honoured by you and by this esteemed honour done me I am glad that you honoured me.

“To whom much is given, much is expected. So, I thank you very much because of this kind of visit of making sure that you try to discover those who are doing well every wherever they are saddled with public trust.

“It’s your contribution to making sure that the office I’m holding in trust remains vibrant. Once you identify those who are doing well and you recognize them just like you have done to me, it will create some kind of competition and will propel others to do more so that they can be recognized.

“We are no doubt, partners in progress for the good of Nigerians and Nigeria,” the Minister added.

Earlier, the leader of the women delegation from Nasarawa State, Hon. Sa’adatu Yohya
had commended the Minister’s efforts in championing initiatives that are positively impacting their communities and the nation at large.

The women delegation expressed their admiration and support for her dedication to empowering women and promoting gender equality.

While further expressing their heartfelt congratulations on her remarkable achievements and leadership, the visit highlighted the Minister’s commitment to engaging with women from diverse backgrounds and fostering partnerships to drive meaningful change.

“The delegation is to demonstrate the appreciation and recognition of the Minister’s tireless efforts to promote women’s empowerment and development”, the delegation stated.
