Ahead of the 2027 general elections, stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the North Central zone have endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-election in 2027 with a pledge to consult door by door to achieve their goals.
The APC in the zone has therefore commissioned the Benue State office for the Ahmed Bola Tinubu (ABT) Support Group 2027 in Makurdi, the Benue State capital, on Thursday.
The Chief Convener/National Coordinator, Dr. Mathias Byuan, said there was need to kickstart consultations across all the north central states to return the President for a second tenure considering his achievements under two years.
He explained that the consultations across the north central states would go ahead pending when the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will blow the whistle for the commencement of the next electioneering.
“We will work for the President to get a 100 percent votes in the zone so what we are doing here today is to show that there is no challenge anywhere,” he said.
Byuan who is also the Executive Director of Housing, Finance and Accounts at the Federal Housing Authority (FHA), assured that his group will synergize with the leader of the APC in North Central, Senator George Akume to conduct their affairs in the zone to ensure victory for Tinubu.
While emphasizing that the zone have no reason to fail, Byuan said they intend to carry out a door-to-door campaign across all 23 Local Government Areas (LGAs), of Benue state to achieve results.
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Sen. George Akume expressed confidence that his principal has already won his re-election with a landslide victory.
Akume, who was represented by Senator Jacob Tiley-Gyado, said under Akume leadership of the party in the north central, the coming election was already a walk over.
