Nigerian Catholic Bishops To Host 150 Counterparts from ECOWAS Region

The Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) will host the General Assembly of the Reunion of Episcopal Conference of West Africa (RECOWA) from Monday, 2nd May to Monday, 9th May 2022.

The theme of the plenary, which holds at the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria in Abuja, is “Fratelli Tutti: Path to Build Brotherhood and Sustainable Peace in West Africa.”

The event will commence with an opening ceremony at the ECOWAS Secretariat in Asokoro, Abuja, on Tuesday 3 May 2022 by Time 10am prompt.

Over 150 Bishops from the 16 countries of West Africa are expected at the Conference; and are to be supported by Heads of Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Ambassadors, Governors, and other dignitaries of Church and State.
