There’s been a major development in Nasarawa State politics PDP as David Emmanuel Ombugadu, the PDP governorship candidate in 2019 and 2023, has resigned from the party.
Speculation is rife that he might be joining the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday, to enable him contest dor thw vacant senatorial seat of Nasarawa North District.
The seat became vacant following the demise of Senator Godiya Akwashiki. It is expected that the Senate President will declare the seat vacant within the next legislative day.
The sudden move has sent shockwaves through the PDP, with many questioning the reasons behind Ombugadu’s decision.
