Two officers of the Nigerian elite security outfit popularly known as the Department of State Services (DSS) were reportedly killed on Friday afternoon in Anambra.
The operstives were killed as gunmen ambushed their convoy while on election campaign duty in Ekwulobia area of the state.
A video footage obtained by TMS News shows the bodies of the two DSS personel lying lifeless on the ground.
As at the time of filing this report, security forces comprising the police, the military and other sister agencies have taken over the area.
The bodies of the deceased operatives were hurriedly taken away from the scene as several residents gather to look.
An exasperated DSS staff disclosed that the service is downcast and in a mourning mood especially that the operatives were killed in full public glare without any attempt by the people to show solidarity
