Breaking: multi million POS business man abducted in Nasarawa

A popular POS business man operating in Nasarawa State, names withheld has been reportedly abducted by people suspected to be kidnappers in Shabu development area of Lafia capital in Nasarawa State.

The victim, according to eyewitness was abducted at about 10 pm Thursday evening around his environment while returning from his day hossling.

City Post gathered that the business man sighting the suspected kidnappers around while trying to open his gate attempted to escape from the gun men but had the tyre of his vehicle blown off and was whisked way to unknown destination.

It was learnt that several attempt by some residents who hard the sound of the gun shots within the area for rescue could not yield positive results.

An eye witness who did not want his name mentioned told our Correspondent that several attempts including phone calls to the security agents for rescue could not yield positive results as there was no response after about 45 .minutes.

He said residents were apprehensive as a result of the kind of gun shots that were released to scale the people during the operations that lasted for more than 20 minutes.

“We were scared with the rendition of the sound of the gun shots. It wasn’t the sound of the popular AK 47. We reached out to some law enforcement agency but help could not come our way.

“My wife who is hypertensive broke down leaving me with no options than local help to rescue her from the shock.

“We want to appeal to the relevant authority to step up surveillance and monitory to reduce frequent attacks on the residents of Shabu development area of Lafia and it’s environs.

When contacted, the public Relations Officer of the Nasarawa State Command, SP Ranham Nansel said the command was not aware of the incident, but promised that the command would would ensure that the lives and property of Nasarawa residents are protected

He urged the residents to promptly report suspected movement within and around their environment to the police to the police and other security agents for prompt action.
