Immediate past Governor of Benue State, Chief Samuel Ortom has described the death of former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari is a loss to the country.
Ortom stated this in in a statement signed by his Media Adviser Terver Akase and made available to newsmen in Makurdi on Monday.
He said that President Buhari occupies a chapter in Nigeria’s political history, owing to his service to the nation, first as a military Head of State from 1984 to 1985, and later as an elected President between 2015 and 2023.
The former Governor noted that President Buhari led Nigeria at a difficult time but contributed his quota to the country.
Chief Ortom expressed his heartfelt condolences to the Buhari family and prays that God Almighty grants the former President eternal rest.
