Mrs Ojema fetes widows in Benue's Apa, Agatu

The wife of the Member representing Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on National Inland Waterways, Mrs Martha Ojotu Ojema, has distributed food and non food materials to widows in Apa/Agatu federal Constituency to enable them celebrate a joyous and merry Christmas.

Mrs Ojema who hosted the widows on Saturday, 21st, December, 2024, gifted them several items including bags of rice, cartons of maggi, bags of salt, wrappers, and oil.

She assured the women of more kind gestures saying she and her husband, Chief Ojotu Ojema, have always had them at heart.

She urged the benefiting widows to accept the gifts which said was little assuring that those who didn’t get this time would be remembered at other times.

She told them that “What I am doing today may not solve all your problems but it will go a long way to relieve you of some of the burdens. I admonish you to keep faith in God as your only comforter and finisher of your plights

“Do not to see what is being given to you today but the sincerity of the heart that gives”, Mrs Ojema concluded.

Also speaking, the husband and the Member representing Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency, Hon. Ojotu Ojema said, the most important thing on earth is life He urged the beneficiaries to appreciate God for being counted among the living.

In a statement signed his the Media Aide, Olikita Ekani, Ojotu who pledged to continue to show them love said “Showing love to widows is an act of glorifying God, being the husband of the widows, you should be thankful to God always for everything.

Some of the widows who spoke appreciated the couple and the federal represented for remembering them at the Christmas celebration. They thanked them for their gifts and prayed God to bless them abundantly.
