- urges defectors to repent and ask for forgiveness

The people’s Democratic Party, (PDP) in Nasarawa has advised the All progressive Congress (APC), in the state to be mindful of those romancing with the party in the interest of the state.
This is even as the opposition PDP has described those defecting to the ruling party as betrayal and self centered politicians interested in what the benefit from the party.
Speaking with journalists while reactingto the recent resignation the partyPRR, State Chairman of PDP, Alhaji Adamu Bako Ninga said the advice has become neccessary to safeguard the state from those he said have over the years betrayed the state and the opposition PDP for their selfish interest.
Ninga who called on its former Public Relations officer in the state, Hon. Ibrahim Hamza, to repent from the several sins allegedly committed against the party and ask for forgiveness, noted that PDP was a large party whose interest is to salvage Nasarawa and the country at large.
The party have also declared the the defection of its image maker was long expected, and has no single effect on the growth of the party in the state.
“We in the party have long before now knee that our PRO was a PDP member not just a member, but a cabinet member whose stock in trade is to betray the party.
” We are happy and relieved that a man who have not only been pretending but working against us is out of our party with his antics. His exit from the party is a huge burden taking away from us”, the Chairman declared.
According to Ninga, ” Our problem stem from the activities of our public relations officer who allegedly betrayed us of our victory in 2023. We remain doubtful of his alleged role that robbed us of our victory for APC in the last elections”, the chairman alleges.
He urged the party’s teeming supporter, stakeholders and the citizens of the state to remain statefast, committed, resilience to their ever ready commitment to salvage the state through the instrumentality of PDP in the fifth coming general elections in 2027.
“We are not deterred or bordered with his exit from the party. You should remain committed and calm as the party is well prepared than ever before to recaim it’s stolen mandate in 2027”.
It would be recalled that the PDP PRO had on Thursday tendered his resignation from the people’s Demcratic party in the state.
Ibrahim Hamza has since visited the governor, Abdullah Sule and the Chairman ofAPC, Akigu Bello to pledge his loyalty the the ruling APC in the state.
