Former Director General of the National Orientation Agency and one time Special Adviser to the President of the 6th and 7th Senate Dr. Mike Omeri has described former President of the Senate Dr. David Bonaventure Alexhenu Mark GCON as a rare breed if Nigeria’s statesmen who would sacrifice anything for the peace and unity of the country.
Dr. Omeri stated this in a statement issued to news men to celebrate the elderstatesman in commemoration if His 77th birthday. He said the lijes of Senator David Mark, who have distinguished in service through sacrifice with integrity should be emulated by citizens if Nigeria wishing for a new nation directed at peace and general transformation.
“As a patriot and statesman, Senator David Mark has contributed immensely to the peace, unity, and strategic alliances in order to move our dear country forward without compromising the values statehood and nationhood.”
He further said that it will be an under statement to state that the former Senate president has been an embodiment of humility and a strong believer in the principles of democracy such as the rule of law, equity, justice and fairness. “In any stage, Senator David Mark has served Nigeria very well and has left no one in doubt as his footprints are signposts of his vision for the country.
The statement indicated that Dr. Omeri prayed the Almighty God to continue to keep him in good health, protect and grant him more years on earth and be useful to self and family, guiding the nation towards the prosperity it deserves.
