JUST IN: FG Arrest Nnamdi Kanu

The Federal Government has apprehended the acclaimed leader of the proscribed Indegenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu.

The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice Mr. Abubakar Malami announced this on Tuesday in Abuja.

Kanu is currently facing trial before the Federal High Court in Abuja for charges bordering on terrorism, treasonable felony, unlawful possession of firearms and management of an unlawful society.

Nnamdi Kanu who has been on the run after jumping bail, was arrested by a combined team of Nigerian and foreign security agents in a coordinated interception.
