Just in: Tinubu”s aide, Aliyu Audu resigns from cabinet, gave reasons

Aliyu Audu, the Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Public Affairs, has resigned his position.

Audu in a letter dated June 8 and sent through the President’s Chief of Staff, stated, “I write to formally tender my resignation… effective immediately.thanked the President for the opportunity to serve my fatherland under your visionary leadership.”

He also extended praise to former presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale, who recommended him for the role on August 26, 2023.

Audu’s letter concluded, “It has been an honour to contribute to the public communication efforts of this administration.Please accept the assurances of my highest esteem and continued prayers for the success of your leadership and the progress of our beloved nation.”

As at the time of filling this report, the Presidency is yet respond to Audu’s resignation.
