The Mdzough U Tiv (MUT), the unbrella socio-cultural organization of the Tiv people, Worldwide, has celebrated their leader and President General, Chief Iorbee Ihagh (rtd) on the occasion of his birthday anniversary.
Meanwhile, the President General, Chief Iorbee Ihagh, has dedicated his day to those who were recently killed by herdsmen militia in Jato Aka, Turan in Kwande Local Government Area, and other parts of Benue state.
In a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to President General of MUT, Comrade Nicholas Ishom, the association described Chief Ihagh as a bridge-builder and a detribalised patriot with a strong belief in the unity of Tiv Nation, Benue and Nigeria as a whole, an illustrious son of Tiv nation, indicating that Mdzough U Tiv has followed Ihagh’s life trajectory with keen interest and admiration.
The statement said “He embodies the concept of a detribalised Nigerian who has displayed pragmatic leadership with selflessness and dedication.
“Mdzough u Tiv salute this great patriotic Nigerian, a moral edifice, development archetype, consensus builder, unassuming person, and beacon of greatness.”
The association stated that Chief Ihagh is the best thing that has ever happened to Mdzough U Tiv, saying he’s one of the association’s best President Generals, noting that his administration’s policies and reforms have sharpened the union.
They highlighted some of his numerous achievements and legacy projects to include, formation of the 36 State chapters of Mdzough U Tiv, including Mdzough U Tiv in Russia in the far away Europe, assistance in the formation of Ter-Tiv Vassal kings across the 36 States in Nigeria.
They also named the revalidation of Mdzough U Tiv membership registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) which was not done for many years, celebration of Tiv Day which was not done for the past eight years, initiation of the E-registration of Mdzough U Tiv members recently, among others too numerous to mention.
The Association added that “His developmental strides as President General will continue to speak for him after his tenure as the Chairman of the three socio-cultural organizations in the state adding that the celebrant has carved a niche for himself in service in view of his remarkable and unbeatable achievements as President General of Mdzough U Tiv and other socio-cultural organizations in Benue State.
They congratulated the “iconic leader” on his attainment of a new age, wishing him many happy returns.
