National Lottery Trust Fund NLTF Partners Defence Headquarters for Africa Military Games

The National Lottery Trust Fund (NLTF) has thrown it support to collaborating with the Nigerian Defence Headquarters towards the forthcoming Africa Military Games, scheduled to take place in Nigeria in November 2024. Air Vice Marshal Abidemi Marquis, Chairman of the Sport Organising Committee, led a delegation to the NLTF office to seek partnership.

Marquis highlighted the significant talent and economic impact of the games, estimated to be an opportunity for our youths and in a multi-billion naira window restating that it is an additional opportunity for Nigeria to gain international visibility.

He commended the NLTF’s new leadership and its determined effort to promote good causes across Nigeria.

In a press release sent to TMS news and signed by the Special Assistant to the Executive Secretary of NLTF on Media & Corporate Communications, Arowolo Solomon Alaba, the Executive Secretary, Comrade Tosin Adeyanju was quoted to have appluded the leadership of Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, for the improvement in national security, while assuring the visiting army sports Corps leadership that NLTF consolidate its partnership with the military, citing the game’s positive economic impact as a compelling reason for the collaboration.Those who accompanied chairman of the 2024 Africa military games AVM include The AT Marquis, Major General M Abdullahi, Commander A Umaru, Wing Commander A Mohammed, Captain AS Abdulkadir among others.

The release stated that the partnership is aimed at maximizing the event’s potential in the countryo while enhancing live opportunities in the continent. The Africa Military Games is expected to bring together military personnel from across the continent in order to promote unity and friendly competition.
