The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Women Affairs, Dr. Maryam Ismail-Kenshiro, has declared that no amount of orchestrated campaigns aimed at discrediting the Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim, will derail her from delivering on the vision of President Bola Tinubu.

The position was contained in a statement issued on Tuesday and made available to journalists.

Dr. Ismail-Kenshiro maintained that the minister continues to enjoy the trust and confidence of her staff, her community, and Nigerians at large, who remain united in support of her leadership.

“The attention of the Ministry has been drawn to a leaked invitation by a group styling itself as Transparency and Integrity Watch Initiative (TIWI), announcing a so-called ‘World Press Briefing’ to malign the Honourable Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, with unfounded allegations,” the statement noted.

She recalled that the development comes shortly after a protest by some staff of the ministry last week, which she described as politically rinstigated and arising from internal communication gaps.

According to the Permanent Secretary, the campaign to tarnish the image of the minister has exposed a coordinated attempt to distract her from her work in the ministry.

“It is evident that these actions are not born out of genuine concern but from calculated political interests aimed at undermining the credibility of a Minister who has consistently demonstrated integrity, courage, and commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” she stated.

The Ministry, she affirmed, remains steadfast in its mission.

“We wish to state categorically that the Honourable Minister remains focused on her mandate to advance women’s empowerment, social development, and inclusive governance across Nigeria.

“No amount of falsehood or orchestrated smear campaign will derail the Ministry from delivering on the vision of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

“The Ministry reaffirms its commitment to transparency, accountability, and service to the Nigerian people. We urge the public and the media to disregard such politically motivated distractions and remain confident in the leadership of Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim,” the statement concluded.
