NSCDC vows to tackle crimes in Nasarawa, seeks royal fathers collaboration

Nasarawa state Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Muhammed Kabiru Ingawa Tuesday sought a collaboration with the traditional rulers in the state to strengthen the fight against rising crimes in Nasarawa state.

The NSCDC Commandant who sought the collaboration when he visited the Emir of Lafia and Chairman, Nasarawa Council of Chiefs, RTD Justice Sidi Bags Mohammed said the involvement of royal fathers as custodians of the people would tremendously reduce crimes and criminalities in the society.

The NSCDC Commandant in a statement issued by the Commands’ Public Relations Officer, DSC Jerry Victor, reiterated the NSCDC’s commitment of the commandant to partnering with traditional institutions to enhance security and community development.

“I’m in the royal highness palace seeking his royal blessing and to solicit the assistance and cooperation of the royal fathers in the state to fight the scourge of crimes and criminalities in Nasarawa State”.

Commandant Ingawa who emphasized the importance of collaboration between security agencies and traditional leaders in maintaining peace and security in the state, added that the visit was to foster closer cooperation between the NSCDC and traditional leaders in addressing security concerns.

 He expressed his commitment to working closely with the Royal Fathers and other stakeholders in the state to ensure the safety and well-being of the people of Nasarawa State

Receiving the NSCDC boss, the Emir of Lafia, Justice Sidi Bagi, applauded the foresight of Commandant Ingawa to embrace the monarchs in his efforts in promoting security and stability in the state.

The royal fathers assured the Commandant of their support and cooperation, emphasizing the need for collective efforts in tackling the rising security challenges in the state.

Highlight was the the Emir bestowment of his royal blessing on Commandant Ingawa as well as wishing him success in his endeavors.
