PDP remains Most viable platform For reclaiming leadership, deliver good governance--- NCentral Party Chairmen Forum

The North Central Chairmen’s Forum of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has declared that the party remained the most viable platform for reclaiming nation’s leadership, deliver good governance despite being bedevilled by crisis.

The Forum, also reaffirmed its commitment to the unity of the party, cohesion, and internal harmony, declaring that a united PDP remains the most viable platform for reclaiming political leadership and delivering good governance across the zone.

The Forum in a communique issued at the end of its one day meeting in Lafia, with the PDP Chairmen from Niger, Nasarawa, Benue, Plateau, Kwara States, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) converged to deliberate extensively on the state of the party and prevailing political developments within the North Central zone.

According to the communiqué, read by the Forum Chairman, Rt. Hon. Ezekiel Adaji, PDP Chairman, Benue State, and the Secretary, Alhaji Adamu Bako Ninga, PDP Chairman, Nasarawa State, emphasized that unity and internal cohesion were indispensable to the PDP’s resurgence and long-term electoral success.

The communiqué, after reviewing reports from across the zone, expressed strong confidence that the masses remain solidly aligned with the PDP. Members urging Nigerians not to lose faith despite current political challenges, as the party continues to enjoy widespread grassroots support and acceptance.

The Chairmen while reassuring all prospective aspirants seeking elective positions under the PDP platform that the party remains viable, competitive, and strategically positioned to perform strongly in future elections, called on the aspirants, supporters, stakeholders and those with sympathetic cause to the party to remain steadfast and committed to the party’s ideals and democratic principles.

The Forum also commended critical stakeholders, party leaders, and loyal members at all levels for their sacrifices, resilience, and unwavering commitment to the growth and sustainability of the PDP across the North Central zone.

As part of efforts to strengthen coordination and repositioning the party, the Forum, elected zonal leadership, with Rt. Hon. Ezekiel Adaji emerging as Chairman, Alhaji Adamu Bako Ninga as Secretary, and Hon. Ismaila Mohammed Dogara Yenche as Public Relations Officer (PRO).

Other Chairmen present at the meeting included Hon. Raymond Dabo, PDP Chairman, Plateau State; Alhaji Aliyu Borgo, PDP Chairman, Niger State; Hon. Isa Bawa Adamu, PDP Chairman, Kwara State; and Hon. Ismaila Dogara, PDP Chairman, FCT.

The Forum congratulated the newly elected leadership and expressed confidence in their capacity to deepen inclusiveness, foster unity, and reposition the PDP for electoral success in the North Central zone and beyond.
