Plans maiden business Coalition April 10th

The Plateau State chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) worried by the challenges in the health sector is putting in place various measure to tackle, unlock and address the enormous channels impeding health development in the state.
One of the evolving measures designed meet the health needs of the people is maiden Plateau Business Coalition for Health (PBC Health) Summit Slated for Thursday, April 10, 2025.
The landmark event which will take place at the Crispan Suites and Event Centre, Jos, Plateau State, beginning at 10:00 a.m with the theme: “Unlocking Value Chain in Healthcare Financing through Sustainable Business Partnerships,” is aimed at strengthening collaboration between the health sector and business community in addressing the financing gaps in healthcare delivery.

“NMA is bringing together key stakeholders across multiple sectors to explore innovative and sustainable solutions for improved healthcare delivery in plateau state.
“The summit will feature a high-profile lineup of dignitaries including:, His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, Executive Governor of Plateau State who will serve as the Distinguished Guest of Honour. Others are Ambassador Bagudu Hirse, former Ambassador of Nigeria to Namibia while former Minister of Foreign Affairs, will chair the occasion”.
The statement further explained former Plateau State Governor, Sen. Joshua Chibi Dariye, will be the father of the Day.
Mr. Sim Shagaya, Chancellor of Miva Open University and Founder of uLesson Group, will deliver the keynote address, bringing his experience in technology and innovation to bear on the healthcare discourse. His Royal Majesty, Da Jacob Gyang Buba, CRF, the Gbong Gwom Jos, will grace the event as the Royal Father of the Day, lending cultural prestige to the summit.
“The Honourable Commissioner for Health in Plateau State, Dr. Nicholas Baamlong, will serve as Chief Host. The event is being organized under the leadership of Dr. Kumtap Yilji Cashmir, Chairman of the NMA Plateau State Branch, with Dr. (Mrs) Nankling Lamu as Chairperson and Dr. Kevin Y. Kwarshak as Secretary.
With stakeholders drawn from government, private sector, civil society, and the medical profession, the summit is expected to mark a new chapter in healthcare development in Plateau State, underscoring the NMA’s commitment to building strategic partnerships that will drive sustainable healthcare financing and delivery.
