Plateau state partners Nigeria Red Cross to enhance surveillance

The Nigeria Red Cross, in collaboration donated essential IT materials to Plateau State Ministry of Health to bolster efforts in Mpox surveillance in Plateau State. As part of this initiative, Red Cross have also facilitated the training of nurses who will soon begin active Mpox surveillance across the state.

In a gesture of appreciation, the Honourable Commissioner of Health, Dr. Shurkuk Cletus Bako, commended the Red Cross for their great humanitarian support in Plateau State.

Speaking on behalf of the state government, Dr. Shurkuk stated,”The Time is Now Administration is dedicated to improving the quality of health and social welfare for our people. We pledge our partnership with the Red Cross and look forward to more collaborative support in future programs.”

He further emphasized the government’s commitment to strengthening rapid response teams to manage emergency health cases effectively.

This partnership reflects the administration’s resolve to address public health challenges and enhance the well-being of residents in Plateau State.
