The opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) In Nasarawa state has reacted to President Buhari’s planned visit to the state, claiming that the President is coming to commission projects initiated and in some cases almost executed by the party during his visit.
The opposition party stated this in a release signed by Comrade Adeka Steven, the party’s media head in the state on Wednesday.
The party also highlighted what it tagged legacy projects it initiated in both its 12 and 16 years of leadership in the state and the federal level respectively.
The statement reads in full;
Legacies and records of the twelve (12) years of PDP in Nasarawa State and the sixteen (16) in Nigeria are details in Nasarwa State which the current APC led State and Federal Administration are yet to break.
The common man on the street of Nasarawa State today knows about the PDP led administration Federal Initiated Projects/Infrastructures across the length and breadth of Nasarawa State that are peoples driven and oriented.
For the sake of strengthening of memory, the letany of PDP Federal Projects are thus; Dual Road from College of Agriculture/Teachnology Lafia to Akunza, Federal Secretariat Lafia, Central Bank Building, Lafia, Sub-Power Station, Akurba, Lafia, Federal University, Lafia, Lafia – Obi – Awe Trank ‘A’ Road and Lafia – Doma Road. Of the above mentioned projects, Mr. President is going to commission three important once viz; Central Bank, Federal Secretariat and Sub-Power Station which were all initiated and executed to to eighty-five percent (85%).
Addressing the Pressmen at the State PDP Secretariat along Jos Road Lafia the state capital on Wednesday, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) capacity Chairman, Hon. Francis Enokela Osewena Orogu (Bunu Kho-Kodoko & Akanaba I of Idoma Land) lamented on the sorry stage of infrastructural development in the last eleven (11) years and seven (7) years of APC in Nasarawa State and Nigeria respectively.
Put Nasarawa State on a same scale with other PDP led states, projects that the Nasarawa State Governor has been struggling and waiting for three and half years for PMB to visit the state and commission ranging from, Motor Park and Skill Acquisition Center are mostly LGC Chairmen projects for Governor’s Commissioning.
Tax payers money, Federal Allocations, Intervention Funds from Government/NGO’s Government/NGO’s and Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of Nasarawa State are not in consonants with the spate of development in the state of Solid Minerals and one of the most closest state to the Nation’s FCT. He called on the Nasarawa populace to put their mandate and trust with the Rescue Mission of People Democratic Party (PDP) come 2023 to bring back the old good days in all ramifications.
Hon. Orogu commended the doggedness of PDP members of FCT Abuja towards the resounding victory of PDP in the Area Councils Elections recently. Therefore, calling on the good people of Plateau State, particularly Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency and Pankshin State Assembly Constituency to come out en mass and VOTE PDP Candidates to end the reign of APC in Nigeria states and the nation as a whole in a slitest opportunity.
Finally, the leader of the strong opposition Political Party in the state, Hon. Francis Orogu challenge the APC led state government to ask President Muhammadu Buhari not to only come and commission inherited projects from PDP regime, but to also perform some Ground Breaking Ceremony of his initiated Federal Government Projects in Nasarawa State if not, PDP effort is the REASON for his visit with Nasarawa State Government has nothing to show but rely on Borrow, Borrow tendencies.
Nasarawa masses should not be deceived and blind folded but be on their guard to end the AUDIO and Propaganda administration for a better days ahead is assure with PDP in Nasarawa and Nigeria at large.
