…Nigeria’s Ambassador praises his patriotism and Africanism

It was a blaze of glory and reminiscences when the mortal body of the late Hon. Gentleman and grandson of the first indigenous Vice President of Liberia, Chief Trade negotiator and consultant to the Liberian government on Trade, Lowell Arthur Edward Wesley was committed to mother earth in Monrovia last Friday the 17th of June 2022.

The event which witnessed the attendance of mammoth sympathisers including family, friends and colleagues, started from the Samuel Strykers funeral home in Sinkor to the Harvest International Church in the city of Monrovia on the faithful day. 

At the funeral service which was attended by Nigeria’s Ambassador to Liberia, Ambassador Godfrey AE Odudigbo, the Bishop of the Harvest International Cathedral Wolo Belle and His spouse Lady Dellah Belleh who led numerous clergymen and women from other Christian denominations in the country prayed for the repose of the soul of the demised and comfort for the family.

He emphasized scriptural passages and lessons which concluded that to die in the Lord is gain and that immortality is achieved in the deeds that men do while alive. It is the impact and effect of living according the word that creates memories and legacies. He prayed for Country and all the people to return to the ways of God in order to achieve salvation and freedom from sin.

Nigeria’s Ambassador Godfrey AE Odudigbo delivered a message of condolence on behalf of the government and people of Nigeria. He prayed for repose of the soul of Mr. Wesley and condole the wife Lucy Wesley nee Tarka who is Nigeria by birth and the in-law to the deceased, Dr. Mike Omeri who attended the event to bury his father in- Law.
