Two killed over grazing in private residence in Karu

A 27 year old herder, whose identity is yet to be known has reportedly matched and killed two persons in Angwa Doka, in Mararaba Area of Karu local government area.

 The incident TMSnews gathered occured at about 1pm when the yet to be identified herder was grazing in one Ariku David compound.

An argument, it was gathered ensued when the 21 year Ariku David seek to know why the herder was grazing in his compound resulting in the herder matching Ariku to dead.

 When contacted on phone, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ramhan Nansel confirmed the incident and the death of two persons in the area.

” I have made findings on the inquiry you made and the report I got from the division was that on the 27 of April 2025 at about 1pm, a distress call was received that a herder who’s name and address was unknown was grazing at Angwa Doka in Mararaba Area of Karu local government area, when his cattle eat up flowers of one Ariku David a 21 year old man in his compound”.

According to the finding, as a result of an Argument that ensued, the header matched the Said Ariku who died at the spot.

“A friend of the deceased one Micheal whose surname is still unknown from phase 4 of the Angwan Doka, in an attempt to intervene was also attacked by the same header, he sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Mararaba medical center for medical attention but was confirmed dead by a medical doctor, an the corps has been deposited in the same hospital for postmortem examination”, the PPRO stated.

 “The commissioner of police, Jauro Mohammed has Made adequate security deployment to the area to provide adequate security to safe guard the people of area”.

The CP has also directed the deputy commissioner of police in charge of state criminal investigations department to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the case to see the suspect involved and arrest him for possible prosecution
