Contrary to claim made by the terrorists that they didn’t receive money to release the Managing Director of the Nigeria Bank of Agriculture, the family has reacted otherwise, saying that they paid N100 million to get the MD out of captivity.
The terrorists in a viral video claimed they were releasing the MD in the spirit of Ramadan and due to his old age.
A lawyer and Senior analyst at the Tony Blair Institute, London, Bulama Bukarti who is also reputable for his commentaries on Book Haram and other terrorists group in the country, made the revelation on a tweet.
The tweet reads;
“A family source confirmed to me that N100m, in cash, was paid for the release of the MD of Bank of Agric. The crazy money terrorists are making in Nigeria! This problem will simply keep growing. Not only are there no consequences to terrorism, it also pays handsomely. It’s sad.” Bukarti said.
