2027: Vote PDP to tackle security, welfare, healthcare, correct Nasarawa setbacks – Ombugadu

The governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic party PDP in Nasarawa state, Emmanuel Ombugadu has reaffirmed his commitment to the establishment of an inclusive, innovative administration that would focused on enhancing the security of the State.

Ombugadu who stated this at the flag off of his governorship campaign in Lafia. Saturday explained that attention of his administration would be devoted to prudent management of the state resources, welfare of the people and provision of other basic amenities the were near absence in the state if elected.

According to the third time governorship candidate of the major opposition party, lamented that despite Nasarawa’s vast reserves of valuable solid minerals such as gold, lithium, and wolframite, the wealth remains concentrated in the hands of a few.

He promised that under his administration, state resources would be tailored toward public welfare, including access to public healthcare, and safer conditions for agricultural workers.

Ombugadu who took out time to explain the party’s stand on why it embraced the “Rainbow Coalition” being canvassed by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barrister Nyesom Wike, promised to align with the decisions of the coalition. in the interest of the state and the people.

“We want to affirm today that the entire Nasarawa State stands for Rainbow coalition. We are all united in support of our national leader the FCT minister Nyesom Wike. We are waiting for our national leader to give us direction. Wherever he goes, we will go,” he declared

“Nasarawa State chapter of the PDP was in complete solidarity with Wike; describing the minister as a capable and visionary leader.”, Ombugadu stated

The governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic party PDP, used the occasion to appeal to the citizens and residents of the state to resist attempts by those he described as ‘political bigots’ to mortgage the state for their personal interest adding that the unity , development and overall advancement of the state was a collective responsibility of all to shoulder.

While , asked visiting national leaders of the party to convey the goodwill of the Nasarawa electorate to the Minister, alongside an open invitation for him to visit the State, Ombugadu commended the residents for turning out en-mass to witness the official flag off the his campaign.

“It would not be business as usual in 2027 election because I’m sure the Nasarawa people have realized the need to vote rightly.Go out there an equip yourselves with the necessary voting right to participate in the next years general elections” Ombugadu stated.

Speaking at the flag off campaign rally, , the PDP National Deputy Chairman (North), Yusuf Nya Agirikwe, disclosed that the party holds the popular mandate needed to assume leadership of the state in 2027.

“We have been hearing from far that Nasarawa State is PDP. I have come to establish it myself today, that PDP has the mandate of the people to rule them in this state,” he said.

He urged party members, supporters and other stakeholders to actively mobilise local communities ahead of the 2027, stressing the need for them to safeguard their votes to ensure victory at the polls.
