How NSCDC arrests 85 years old man for defiling a 4year old baby

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nasarawa State command has arrested a 85 years old man for defiling a 4years old baby.

The 85-year-old man, Ibrahim Haruna, was arrested for allegedly defiling a 4-year-old girl in Kongo community, Keffi Local Government Area of the state

The incident, which occurred within the first week of January, came to lime light when the victim’s elder sister noticed the child behaviour where the girl was walking with discomfort and bleeding.

Raising alarm, the elder sister of the girl inquired, and the young girl open up allegegoing assault.

Addressing journalists, the NSCDC Public Relations Officer, Jerry Victor, stated that the suspect had lured the child into his room while others were away.

“A medical report has confirmed that the child had been defiled”.

Victor assured the public that the case would be transferred to the Nasarawa State Ministry of Justice for further investigation and prosecution.

 Ibrahim Haruna the prime suspect has however denied the allegations, claiming he is being framed.

Reports revealed that the victim’s parents and the suspect are neighbours.

Victor Jerry further told Journalists that the command had in a separate operation apprehended three suspected cultists for alleged harassment and destruction of property in Lafia’s Layin Yan Kaji and Super Cinema streets.

The NSCDC spokesman of the command revealed that the suspects were arrested following reports of disturbances in the areas.

“Items recovered from them include two locally made pistols, live cartridges, ammunition, mobile phones, pliers, and scissors. This arrest follows a suspected cult clash in December 2024 that led to the destruction of six vehicles and the burning of one motorcycle during the festive season”.

He reaffirmed the NSCDC’s commitment to combating crime and protecting public and private infrastructure across the state.
