TMSnews is in possession of an audio recording believed to be that of the Emir of Keffi, Dr Shehu Chindo Yamusa III. The highly respected Emir in the 30 seconds audio was heard speaking to the returning officer of the Nasarawa West APC senatorial primary election. The royal father was caught making utterances not befitting of a royal father as regards to matters of election.
The phone call led to manipulation of delegates list to pave way for a Muslim candidate in the election.
In the conversation, the Emir instructed the returning officer to make sure he is alone so he could talk to him.
“Go aside, make sure you are alone, let’s talk.
“If you use the original delicates list, out Candidate Shehu will not win.” The Emir said.
The Returning Officer responded by lamenting thus; “Your Highness, now that you talk to me, are they supposed to insult and blame me publicly as someone that is even part of their team.?”
Arc. Shehu Tukur eventually emerged as the candidate for the senatorial election after manipulation of delegates list was executed as suggested by the Emir.
Royal fathers are supposed to provide guidance and counseling to all aspirants and candidates and not openly show support for any particular one but in the case of Nasarawa West the Emir threw caution into the air.
While the other contestants are indigenous muslims, a source disclosed that “Tukur is a migrant fulani who are currently being planted in the state through all manner of schemes”. The source noted that “there has been a gradual weakening of the local indigenous population and substitution of their access to power or governance in a bid to ensure the emasculated of the locals.” He gave example that nearly all the key positions in the state are current being occupied by either Katsina or Jigawa Fulani among others”.
Asked whether it was a religious plan, or source said “we have no problem if they are using our indigenous Muslim brothers afterall we have and share the same challenges” He added
