the Nigeria High Commissioner to the Republic of Sierra Leone His Excellency, Amb. Henry John Omaku fcim has assured the Nigeria Progressives Women Organization of the Commission’s readiness to partner any Organization that is working towards promotion of peace and unity among Nigerians.
The women who were on a familiarization visit to the Commissioner, while speaking through their Chairperson Mrs. Lydia Ilorin said, they were at the embassy to familiarize themselves with the new High Commissioner and to officially welcome him to the Republic of Sierra Leone.
Mrs Ilorin disclosed that the reason for forming the Organization was born out of their desire to assist themselves to become self-reliance. She said the Organization since inception has been able to train its members some basic skills including soap making, make-up and others.
While appreciating them for the visit, Amb. Henry Omaku applauded them for their efforts towards touching the lives of other Nigerian women in Sierra Leone irrespective of their differences. He said what the women group is doing demonstrate the unity of purpose Nigerians are known for, calling on them to sustain the tempor.
Amb. Omaku said the administration of His Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari has been working tirelessly towards ensuring a one and united country. He therefore called on them to support the government in achieving that.
