A Chieftain of the major opposition Peoples Democratic party (PDP), Engr Dr. Kefas Kaura has paid glowing tribute to the first Civilian governor of Nasarawa State, Senator Abdullahi Adamu on his 80th birthday, describing him as a symbol of hope for millions of Nasarawa people and Nigerians whose life has been a defined factor for the unity of the state.
Engr Kaura, a senatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic party PDP in the 2027 Nasarawa West senatorial district who stated this in a goodwill message released on Friday, noted that Senator Adamu’s record of integrity, commitment to ethical leadership, remained a reference point in the history of not only Nasarawa where he served as the pioneer civilian governor remained a rare example of principled leadership in Nigeria’s political landscape.
According to the PDP Chieftain, senator Adamu has consistently demonstrated that public service can be driven by honesty, accountability and prudent management of public resources.
“In a country where remaining clean in public life is extremely challenging, Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu has consistently chosen the path of discipline, honesty and unwavering principle, indicating that it is possible to serve with clean hands and a clear conscience,” Dr. Kaura stated.
He further noted that advocacy for good governance, peace, unity of purpose has continued to resonate with Nigerians, particularly young people, who see him as a champion of responsible leadership and national renewal.
“In his words: Our first Civilian governor’s commitment to promoting public confidence in the possibility of building a better Nigeria through transparent and people-centred governance.
The PDP Chieftain further described the former National Chairman of APC ¹ as an enduring voice of discipline whose leadership continues to inspire hope across the country.
“As our elder statesman marks his 80th birthday, we celebrate not just his age but the values he represents. He embodies the belief that character still matters, that competence and integrity can transform our society, and that one person’s dedication can inspire an entire generation,” Kaura declared.
He prayed God’s continued guidance, good health and strength for Adamu, reassuring the hope that despite his age, he would continue to contribute to Nigeria’s democratic development and national progress.

He further urged Nigerians not to be mislead, but remain steadfast, committed and resolute in their quest for better Nigeria by standing firm in their belief in Nigeria.
