The General Manager, Benue Links Nigeria Limited, Comrade Alexander Fanafa has pledged to immediately set up a technical committee to facilitate staff participation in the National Housing Fund scheme of the Federal Mortgage Bank, enabling them to access the numerous housing benefits available.
Fanafa, stated this when he, alongside other members of Management, received officials of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria at the company’s corporate headquarters in Makurdi.
He said the Management of Benue Links Nigeria Limited is committed to supporting initiatives and schemes that can improve the welfare and overall living conditions of its workforce, emphasizing that workers’ welfare remains a top priority under his leadership.
The GM explained that upon assumption of office, management cleared all outstanding salary arrears, ensuring payment of salaries on or before the 23rd of every month while introducing transport support to cushion the effects of fuel subsidy removal.
He also highlighted the payment of seasonal bonuses, such as Christmas and Easter bonuses, as part of efforts to motivate staff and align with the worker-friendly policies of the present administration.
Fanafa further pledged to immediately set up a technical committee to facilitate staff participation in the National Housing Fund scheme of the Federal Mortgage Bank, thereby enabling them to access the numerous housing benefits available.
Earlier, the manager of the Federal Mortgage Bank, Makurdi Branch, Mr. Godwin Yange, stated that they visited to introduce the Bank’s mortgage products to the Management and Staff of the company.
He outlined the various mortgage packages and explained the requirements for staff to benefit from them and assured that the Bank was ready to collaborate with relevant government agencies, welfare schemes and cooperative societies to bridge the housing deficit through accessible mortgage solutions.
A statement signed by the Information Officer of Benue Links, Mr Johnson Ehi, said the Federal Mortgage Bank team, which included the Unit Head – Loans, Magdalene Osuman, Unit Head of Finance, Atagher Nyoramo, Loans Unit Staff, Mercy Abdul; and ICT Unit Staff, Bartholomew Ambrose, also addressed questions from Management and provided further clarification on the Bank’s mortgage offerings.
